The Journal ! from Pengeneee Peng
In this Journal assignment, we have to produce a journal on the the topic "Conservation and Restoration of Ecology" using visual expression or sketchnoting format. This assignment had made me a changed man who view this world in another perspective. My confidence in my knowledge has hindered me. This project teaches me to research the simplest details even when we know them very well because what we knew may be incorrect. A better understanding will form a strong foundation and aid me in my assignment greatly.
More importantly, I learnt to communicate ideas and concepts using different approaches such as in visual form. Understanding and sketchnoting is a really stimulating process. I have to stand in the others' shoes in order to judge my own work whether it is easily understandable. I learnt to simplified information into picture and present it in a more interesting way.
Although this assignment has passed and I may have more assignments which require me to express ideas in similiar way, I decided to adopt this new skill in my daily life from taking notes in lecture to planning for projects. It is still very much difficult for me because I am not used to it but I believe it will ultimately stand me in good stead.
