    Reflection

    Part A

Before I started planning my city, I think how I want my city to appear. I have to figure out the rationale that suggest my city should be built then I predicted the possible problems my city will face in the future. After I have a problem, I researched on various cities of different era to look for a solution. Even after collecting the information, I have to innovate it to  fit my city. Here, I learnt to first identify the problem I want to solve then look for a solution through research and innovation. Design is meant to solve problems

    Part B

In part B, the city chosen by our lecturer is actually a proposed city of one of the members of each group. Therefore, the remaining members will not understand the design and planning of the chosen city. This is where communication comes in. In this project, communication cannot be done verbally as a city is very complicated. Visual information is easier to understand. This is also the reason for the model and presentation board. As the chosen city for our group does not have sufficient visual information beforehand, we have to take extra amount of time to understand the chosen city and made some adjustment. A lot of changes were made so we have to redraw the whole city. The presentation board and model a kind of communication method too. I learnt to organize my information to allow people to understand the intended message clearly and easily.
