Project Scope

This project gives us the opportunity to find out more about the building processes and describe it by producing:

Group Component

1. A project brief 
2. A minutes of meeting

Individual Component

1. A set company profile ( including 2 nos of name card, 2 nos of letterhead, 2 nos of envelope, organization structure and financial information
2. A research compilation on the role you represent in the procedure in completing a project

As recorded in the Minutes of Meeting, the assignment of individual role is done by first-come-first-serve basis. The project brief was done after discussion and agreement on the content, then the works were divided among us. (Refer to the Minutes of Meeting in Project Brief)

Company Profile

My company profile is designed with my client as the audience in mind. My role in the construction industry is landscape architect. A landscape architect's main job  is to shape the physical landscape and beautify the overall place. Hence, the main idea of my company profile is to convince my client that my company is capable of producing impressive design.

Research Compilation

My research compilation gives the brief idea of the overall process from the start to the end of a playground construction project. I used RIBA Plan of Work 2013 as the building procedure. I have included the formal document that is needed in the procedure.

Reflection

This project has really open my eyes. Before the release of this project, our lecturers have given a lecture about the process throughout a construction. This project  is also aimed to give us an even better understanding of this process. To complete this project, I have to research for the details of the process so that I have a better understanding and apply the knowledge in this project. This knowledge is also very important to me if I am to work in the construction industry. I have also tried to produce some of the formal documents involved in the process. I think it is a very good practice for me.

In the individual component, I have tried to do something that is suit for this project after researching it. The company profile is innovated to suit the landscape architect company I imagined while the research compilation, I tried explaining using  visual note format because it is easier to understand. It also show my understanding of information I extracted from the net. Writing out in words make no difference from the information obtain through the net.
