    EPC Photoblog

    Project Scope

    1. Create a photoblog by studying the culture, food and architecture of a chosen site
    2. Introduce the photoblog in a 10-minute presentation

Group Members: Peh Ker Neng, Lee Jo Yee, Alvin Tan Shing Yeou, Liu Wei Cheng, Kishant

    Site: Malacca Sultanate Palace, Malacca

Going to the site was the very first step of this assignment. There, we indulged ourselves in the colourful culture but not forgetting our primary objective. We took plenty of photos and talk to the people around, be it tourists or local residents. After the trip, the work is divided among us and I was responsible for the food and beverage section of the photoblog. During the presentation, I was responsible to speak for my own section as well.

    Reflection

Overall, the assignment was a rather enjoyable experience as it allows us to revise the beauty of Malaysian culture again. Taking street photography was a new experience for me. Having a big camera pointing at someone else in action sometimes startled people and make them uncomfortable. This is when we have to step up to talk to them and explain our intention. All it takes is just a little initiative. Though, the research that comes after poses a few difficulties as some the terms and names doesn't come in an English version. I have to ask search through traditional books and website and even reinterpret the definition in English.
