Reflection
The topics for this journal:
Element - Shape
Principle - Emphasis
Shapes are 2D representation of a certain surface of an object. When we speak of shape, we often confused it with form which is the 3D representation of the object. I learnt to differentiate that in the journal exercise. By relating shapes with architecture, I discover many new knowledge regarding the function of various shape in architecture and its influences.

'Emphasis' is harder to notice in real life. There are many forms of emphasis and their definition are very vague and subjective. Learning about this element, I realized that applying this principle in my drawings and presentation, I can lead my viewers' eye without directing it. I can control how my viewers perceive my work and the critical points.
